Last week, I attended a tasting at the much raved about “Neapolitan Pizzeria” Donatella located in Chelsea.

Upon reviewing the menu and partaking in the wonderful cuisine that was offered, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Donatella serves up more than just delicious artisan styled pizza! And, although I did have her famous mouth-watering pizza, I have decided to review the other dishes my palette was privileged to be introduced to. Continue reading

Delectable Eats: Verso Italian Bistro (East Village)

30 Sep bar3

If you’re looking to get away from the city without leaving the city, head over to the East Village on Avenue C where you will hear the sounds of Frank, Tony and Etta coming from the newly opened Verso Italian Bistro.

This neighborhood Italian restaurant offers soft lighting, rustic yet modern decor, a high antique ceiling, exposed brick, and wooden floors that beautifully display the original space.

Why I Love: Verso provides a very intimate, low-key vibe and carries a very romantic ambiance, with an expertly hand selected fine Italian wines collection and a simple yet inventive menu that will appeal to everyone’s palette. It is the perfect spot to escape from the sounds of the bustling city. Sultry Spots: Le Caire Lounge

13 Sep lounge

This past weekend a group of friends and I went out to celebrate our friend James’ birthday. Having finished drinks at The Irish Exit in midtown around 9:30, I convinced our group, which included the lovely Sarah Shaker of Bright Lights, My City to head over to this hookah lounge that I’d been hearing a lot of buzz about.

Off the beaten path in the Lower East Side lies a vibrant Mediterranean lounge with dim red lighting, tables surrounded by candlelight, food as exotic as their belly dancers and hookahs featuring flavors such as fragrant crushed grape to the lite Caribbean infused coconut:  Le Caire Lounge
